Easter Chicks Deviled Eggs

Click for recipe
These chicks were so cute I really had to try them...

I wanted to have a chance to practice them before Easter dinner.
It's a good thing too, because I think that I'll give mine a D- for looks, and an A for taste.  My mixture was too thin, and the top of the egg too heavy. It looks really messy, but I assure you that they taste just fine.
I will be practicing them again.  Hopefully in the two weeks til Easter I have a chance to perfect the look.

Zipper Bracelet

Project 2 wasn't as tastey, but it was a lot fun.  We saw this and just knew that we could do that too.  I also thought that it would fit Alexis's personality.

For the first one I used a 7 inch zipper. That one I ended up giving to Matthew because it is just so big. Back to the craft store a 5 inch zipper. It was a tiny bit small, so I added so links and loops to make it fit.

This is what we ended up with...

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries

I recently found Pinterest like a lot of other people have, and my husband and I have been getting really creative.  I wanted to be able to showcase some of the fun stuff we have been doing.
First Project...
Cheesecake stuffed Chocolate Covered Stawberries. YUM!!
I saw these on Pinterest one day and happened to mention to my hubby. The very next day we were in the kitched creating. These aren't the prettiest ever but OH-MY!!! We will be doing this again.

We used large strawberries and scooped out the middle with a small metal measuring spoon. Then we dipped the berries into metlable semi-sweet chocolate.
The filling was Jello brand cheesecake mix. I put the mix into a ziplock baggie and cut the corner off and squeezed it into the straberries like a pastry bag.  I have seen some variations with grahm cracker crumbs on the top, and the cocolate drizzled on instead of dipped.  I think I will try that the next time I make these because the chocolate was really thick and when you bite into them, it squeezes everything out the end.
